IIA Honors Charlie Johnson Jr. as Outstanding Auditor
The award recognizes those who “have given unusual and outstanding service to the profession of internal auditing through participation in the activities of the IIA.”

Charlie Johnson Jr., senior managing consultant at FORVIS, has received the Victor Z. Brink Award for Distinguished Service by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) during its 2022 International Conference.
The award recognizes those who “have given unusual and outstanding service to the profession of internal auditing through participation in the activities of the IIA.”
“At FORVIS, we believe in giving back to our communities and the profession,” said Angela Morelock, managing partner for consulting services. “We are very pleased to see Charlie receive this recognition for his many years of volunteer service to the IIA, as he lives out our belief in giving back.”
Johnson has been a member of the IIA since 1994. He is active in global internal audit volunteer leadership roles, currently serving as the IIA’s Professional Certifications Board chair and previously as the Exam Development Committee chair. He is a past president of the New Orleans chapter of the IIA and a regular speaker at the IIA’s general audit management conference.
Johnson is a member of the Enterprise Risk & Quantitative Solutions Practice at FORVIS. Professionally, he has more than 20 years of experience creating, reforming, leading and advising client organizations’ internal audit functions while also working directly for and supporting corporate boards on matters such as audits, executive compensation, bylaws and loans.
